Northcliff Residence
A landmark private residence where travertine mass, full-height glazing and a mirror-still reflecting pool frame the surrounding parkland.
Northcliff Residence is a 640-square-metre private home set within a mature parkland site on the city’s northern ridge. The brief called for a home that would feel monumental yet calm — a place that frames the landscape rather than competing with it.
The design organises living, dining and kitchen around a double-height gallery that opens fully to a travertine terrace and a mirror-still reflecting pool. Solid stone volumes anchor the composition, while full-height glazing dissolves the boundary between inside and out.
Delivered over 22 months, the project brought together bespoke joinery, radiant stone floors and a fully integrated lighting scheme to create a residence that is as considered at night as it is in daylight.

Every phase of Northcliff was shaped by close collaboration between our architects, engineers and craftspeople. From the first massing studies to the final stone finishes, each decision was tested against a single question: does this make the house calmer and more permanent?
The finished residence is designed to age gracefully — a home that will feel as considered in thirty years as it does the day it was completed.
