Perched on a rocky headland above the sea, Coastal Residence is a waterfront villa conceived as a series of cantilevered terraces that step down toward an infinity-edge pool.
Clean geometry and expansive sliding glazing let the interiors open completely to the coastline, while a dry-stone retaining wall grounds the house in its site. Natural stone, oak and brushed metal make up a restrained, weather-honest palette.
Every principal room is oriented to the water, and a sheltered outdoor lounge extends the living space well into the evening.
Restraint guided every material choice, from the honed stone terraces to the brushed-metal reveals, creating a home that belongs entirely to its coastline.
Building on an exposed headland demanded a close partnership between design and engineering. Wind, salt and shifting light were treated as design inputs rather than constraints, shaping the orientation of every room.
The outcome is a villa that opens fully to the sea in summer and shelters quietly in winter — resilient, elegant and effortless to live in.
